Didn’t Doughty have one but ruled a hit?

That throw on Doughty was an error regardless what the score keeper recorded.

It probably should have been ruled an error but was a rocket shot at him.

I have stated before that LSU has an “official” error count.

Then there are typically 1-2 additional plays every game where they don’t make a routine play that somehow never makes the box score.

Regardless tonight….clutch 9th inning comeback.

Great win!

I've never seen someone misjudge a line drive like he did tonight.

Thompson also misplayed a line drive in the inning that State scored 2.

Which generally means he had extra time to NOT bounce it 8 feet in front of the bag. Just sayin'....

I haven’t missed many games this season, but I feel as though the official scoring has been far harder on the pitching than the fielding. There has been countless borderline plays ruled as hits, when they could have just as easily been ruled errors. Which is pretty terrible considering they are flirting with record breaking error totals.

Ah the Rant. Where never is heard an encouraging word, the sky is cloudy all day, and every silver cloud has a dark lining.

He has actually misjudged several line drives this year hit at him. Dropped a couple and caught one pr two after over running them. He is just all over the place

Well you obviously didn’t see the play because the ball wasn’t fielded cleanly at first and Doughty rushed to pick it up and make the throw. A good throw probably would have barely gotten the out.

CJJ should be charged with errors for his infield shifts that allowed their two runs and a couple of other hits
