What's exciting for me is Reeves' going to get a chance to expand this world. I'm really excited to see the Arkham show he's working on. I've been wanting to see something like that for years

I feel like Reeves created a world that can work in an expanded capacity. A lot of the Batman villains are pretty weird and I feel like a lot of them can work in this world. Good mix of silly comic exaggeration and down to earth grittiness. A lot of potential.

The production itself was beautifully done, if still overly monochromatic. He needs better writers.
I think Batman is a dark character at heart, but the show Gotham brought good things to that world, at least early on. These over the top, humorless, all black and gray takes on it are getting tired and Nolan had better stories and acting all around. It makes me miss the whimsical blend Burton was working with.
