How does any of this apply to the OP? How would we get KCP from Washington (14M)? I'm pretty sure we wouldn't trade one of the 1st 2 picks in the draft for him.

If yall are saying to use the 2 picks (Ivey and Holmgren or Smith), then trade for KCP. What are we trading, Graham and what else? Ivey backing up McCollum? Is Smith or Holmgren taking Hayes minutes?

Would those 3 players have more of an impact than getting Mitchell?

It doesn't.

If we actually landed 2 top 4 picks, the play to make in my mind would be use one to draft and the other to trade, probably with OKC. By virtue of us jumping up into both spots OKC would likely fall back to 6, so you could probably trade a top 3 pick for SGA and future picks.

That's when you'd have some hard choices to make about the starting lineup, because it'd be hard to bench either CJ or SGA for Herb. You probably would just play a tighter rotation and the top 6 guys get more minutes.

You really aren't getting this. Positions like "SG" and "SF" don't matter and aren't important, in the slightest.

This isn't 2K, this is real life. Roles matter and Herb's role is to guard the opposing teams best perimeter player. Herb is gonna spend his time on the court, when the opposing teams best player is on the court. So you're 6th man idea makes zero sense.
