Traditional would either be Galatoire’s or the Rib Room.
But in this weather sitting outside at Bayona for Friday lunch wouldn't be too bad either.

Clancy's, but check to make sure it is open for lunch on Friday. I'm pretty sure it is.
Galatoire's is great fun for Friday lunch, but arrive early if you want to sit downstairs.
I love Commander's for lunch as well.
Bon Ton is a solid decision as is Mandina's. I'd arrive at both a little early, also.

Any more suggestions? I'm not looking for anything too fancy. I'm thinking more of a Cafe type place that's pretty good.

If in the Quarter I like the Napoleon House.

Lil Dizzy's Cafe in old Whitney Bank Bldg/Wyndam Hotel at 610 Poydras. Cool looking place, great fried chicken and a wide selection of creole dishes.

The Bourbon House or Redfish Grill is not all that fancy and would be a good meal.
