This isn’t really in our hands

Did you read the allegations against Will Wade?

It seems like they have banks statements and text messages supporting the allegation that he bribed a girl to cover up paying a player at VCU.

That may not screw LSU but it screws Wade.

There is no direct evidence against Self or Coach K.

And of course they cheat but pretending the allegations (or complete lack there of) are the same is dumb.

It sucks but Wade is radioactive for a while. Anyone who doesn’t get that is not living on this planet.

Yes.

True. Both the player and fiancé were not in college at the time the fiance' extorted Wade. There is no proof that the extortion occurred to keep quiet about retaining or getting said player. As far as the NOA goes and what the NCAA knows is Wade was extorted money from a former player's fiance' for a down payment on a car and Wade's wife paid.

Is this illegal? Maybe extortion is illegal. But this does not involve the NCAA and Wade and his wife are the victim here.

Is it illegal to give money to people for car down payments? No.

Is it against NCAA violations? No, if they are not associated with a college program.

Was this person associated with a college program at the time? No.

Does this involve LSU? No.

The problem with this issue for the past 5 years we have been relying on the media narrative instead of having the NOA in our hands so that we can read the media narrative against the NOA. For 5 years Pat Forde and Pete Thamel were able to drive the narrative and no one could check them.

People still buy their story. People still think the "strong arse offer" was paying Smart. It wasn't.

People still believe Wade's wife payed players from her bank account (was a former VCU player's fiance' not players).

People believe Wade paid Cisse or Reid $300K based on an Arizona assistant coaches account. No proof. Just hearsay. Ridiculous hearsay.

When you break down the NOA it can easily be defended by talented lawyers. You just have to choose to fight to get to that point.

With all that said there is one thing the NCAA did not want released early and that was an official NOA to the public. They wanted a narrative to be developed by Pat Forde and Pete Thamel to build public pressure on LSU to fire WW.

The media narrative does not equal the NOA.

It was a witch hunt. The NCAA and the media that is bought and paid for by blue blood boosters put a target on Wade's back.

Why were the allegations sent a few days prior to post season play?

And why did LSU need to act on it immediately instead of just letting the team play through post season and sorting it out once they were eliminated?

Come on man, there is direct evidence against both Kansas abd Duke. Where is their institutional control?
Duke pays players. That came out in court. 100s of thousands of dollars exchanged hands just for one guy.
