Plowing fields went by the wayside years ago, most is notilled. Way less fuel, time spent, and soil erosion.

Add in the price of the glyphosate (and see if there is any that can be bought at any price, it was pretty scarce for a while) needed for pre-emergent application for that no-till crop.
