I am new to the East Side of Baton Rouge and need an auto inspection. My windows are tinted above the legal limit. So I need somewhere where that won't be a problem.

Any suggestions?

DPS has been cracking down so much on them it may prove difficult to find one.

Can you back to the Westside where you were going before?

I do. But I'm sure as hell not posting it.

Do what I did in the past. Go on a nice day with all your windows rolled down. Seriously.

The expired sticker, not the tint.

Get around it if you can. I had mine tinted and passed inspection several times until, then all the sudden it was an issue. I had to pull the driver/passenger tint off. Then about six months later they quit doing vehicle inspections in Mississippi, and also did away with the tint law.

Unfortunately your windows must be able to roll up and down to pass inspection. Now your doors don't have to open. At least that was the law 20 years ago, they may have changed.

I understand that. But if they are down they will bump them up and down. I have never had an issue.

I think it's an automatic court appearance if you get stopped without one,

You need these tint laws bro.

In Louisiana, front seat windows can be 40%
In Arkansas, front seat windows can be 25%

If not for regulations and inspections in Louisiana, it could be a car wreck wasteland like Arkansas. You can't go anywhere in Arkansas without getting hit by someone with heavier tinted windows.

You NEED the these regulations.

Try the place ............... Not sure of the name but it's the only one on that stretch of road. They are pretty lenient. I'll delete this later so they don't get in trouble

I love these posts.

This guy is so concerned with following the law about inspection stickers that he is seeking how to get one done.

This guy is also not concerned with following the law at all as it relates to tinted windows.

Since you've gone to the trouble of illegally tinting your windows, why not go all the way and live dangerously and skip the inspection too?
