How did this kid go unranked? I'm not saying he's going to be a superstar, but that is a great tape. Quick release, strong arm, and strong footwork in the pocket. And at 6'5", he's definitely not undersized.

Not sure why this keeps being repeated, but I don't see Nuss transferring this year. Now, if Walker beats him out next year - then yes.
But for now, he's a redshirt freshman with 4-years left and a free transfer when he wants it.
Why would he want to burn his free transfer and go sit somewhere else as a backup?
Because if he transfers post-spring, he will be third-string at best unless he goes G5/FCS.

He goes to Memphis University School. His daddy is paying a cool $25k per year for high school. Money ain’t an issue for his family, guaranteed.

Maybe but tj Finley was much worse and was able to get legit playing time at Auburn. It’s not crazy

Practice body, and possibly backup if a transfer takes place. As this season proved, you need depth at QB. For the kid, a chance to learn and compete- even if only in practice - at the highest level. Then if it doesn't work into playing time, you have a better skill set for an FBS or mid-major opportunity.
