Finally admits we are a mid-tier SEC program with a lot of work to do.

He said that 2 days ago in his press conference.

Did he admit we should’ve hired Bianco?
Posted on 3/24/22 at 12:17 am to Madking
I wonder if Bianco will make it to Omaha for the second time in 20+ years this year

Did he take responsibility for the multitude of poor coaching moves he made tonight or even any of them?
Posted on 3/24/22 at 12:17 am to JakeRStephenes
Did he say which 4 teams we are better than? Will we play them?

What about the fact that he had to sub for one of our best hitters because he refuses to put him at DH?

I'd like to know too, because A&M sucks and (checking notes) yep they beat us...at home

Another better coach we could’ve hired.

We have found Ronnie Rantz on TD.
I’m not that desperate. But I do hate the fact that Eddie Furniss’ son is going to Ole Miss. That dude can play.

I’m joking man but when you watch your coach pull the shite he pulled tonight I think posting that kind of shite is warranted.

Me too! You didn’t catch the link between your user name “MadKing” and how much that would fit Rantz who thinks so highly of himself and Bianco? He was the only ex player that was “pissed” about it.
And I completely understand why Eddie’s son committed to Ole Miss. When your daddy’s jersey is hanging in a stadium, it is hard living up to that considering he still has some records. Eddie knows the expectations here and well what Bianco has there. Doing good and missing out on Omaha.

Ah IC. I mean if you can’t laugh or at least take what’s happening in stride you’ll go crazy thinking about it.

Or we can just blame everything on the umps or refs or ESPN or rain or the color of the sky or balls hit to a SS that is leading the league in errors and gives up one at a critical time AGAIN that changes the game or his coach who refuses to sit him a game or 2.
I brought up interviewing Johnson during his presser or Coach’s show. Hell, I’m not sure he has a coach’s show.
If they get swept by UF that would be 1-7 over the last 8. That is really possible and reminds me some recent spells in the last couple years.

Mid-tier? We are not mid-tier this year. We are bottom tier. It’s going to be rough this year in SEC play.

That's cool that he thinks we're a mid-tier team. That's just what I wanted: A coach who would come in, watch players regress under him, and have him admit that we aren't all that. I feel so inspired that I think I'll go watch replays of the 2021 football season...
I don't see where this staff even has an idea of what they are trying to do. Almost every pitcher is throwing almost exclusively fastballs, as if the only goal is to throw strikes, no matter how predictable they are. But now we can't even throw strikes?
And on offense? Where is the Jay Johnson effect, when we strike out 20 times in 12 innings? I'm not asking for a miracle; we're talking about one of the most talented lineups, on paper, in the country, and all I ask is that we put the ball in play with a runner at third and less than two outs, but nobody shortens their swings, and all three hitters strike out to end the game.
This on top of numerous pitching change snafu's throughout the year, and the refusal to put players in their optimal defensive positions. I mean, what else am I supposed to take away from any of this? Where is one example to point to, to say that there is even a plan here? This has been a train wreck, and only a weak non conference schedule has made our record look better than it should be.
I don't like to watch bad baseball. But I really don't like it when it looks like the coaching staff has no plan, to go with it.
