Fertilizer timing.

When is everyone fertilizing their grass? Is it too soon? I’m itching to do it. I already pre and post emerged. Centipede grass.

I like ronk’s recommendation of Tax Day, April 15.

I also like the recommendation of after you’ve cut your grass twice - first cut is usually to clean up weeds, but second cut is when you you actually cutting lawn grass that woken up from dormancy.

I usually target between April 1-15 for my centipede lawn - Baton Rouge. I try to time, when possible, before a rainfall event to water it in.

I already did. It really depends on your location and if your lawn is awake. I didn't push a lot of nitrogen though, I used a high potassium fertilizer.

This is perfect for centipede. Low salt index due to sulfate of potashand iron that is actually plant available.
