We need to do a Duke BS call count for the weekend’s games, I have a feeling the NCAA is gonna rig this for them for Coach K

J, is there any way you guys get tight and lose this game with Moore out? I just don't see it. I love Jay Wright/Nova, but it took two ridonkulous shooting performances from Michigan (10-15 missed bunnies) and Houston (17/57) for Nova to advance last week. Just lining up my bets for the weekend. I would lay the 4.5 on KU. I think the second game is a borderline coin flip, so would at least take UNC and the 4 points. Yeah, I know the refs may be in the bag for Duke.

I’m concerned about Villanova. They either don’t make it out of the first weekend, or they go all the way. They fricking whacked us in the 2018 final four but I was kind of glad just to make it for that year.

The second half of Miami seemed like the only easy time we’ve had besides Texas Southern.

Playing North Carolina or Duke as a prize also sucks. I hope North Carolina pulls it off somehow.

Our biggest problem overall as a basketball program is our poor record in the championship. We’ve been runner up in the tournament 5 times. Had we just won like two or three of those, we would have a better argument as an all-time great program with Kentucky and Duke.

Fair analysis. I think you guys win comfortably Saturday, but I understand the impending doom about the championship game, especially if it's Duke. I was completely enthralled by the Michigan run in 2018 and yet I knew they were going to be worked by Nova in the end.

And then I have to look forward to getting excited about potentially winning more than 3 games in football for the first time since 2009.

I’ve never seen you before, but we need more KU homers.

It really is a horrible product.

Their big move, is to go from left to right, or vice versa, and do an underhand, flip shot, that either hits side or top of backboard, air balls, or is blocked.

Musselman was on Barstool Live today and told Portnoy and the guys that Duke was the best he had seen all year and would be extremely surprised if anyone else won the title.

He said their ability to throw big guys in the paint who can rebound and score, mixed with good shootering and good scorering guards and wings, is basically an nightmare to play against.

He said Texas Tech was the best defensive team in the country and Arkansas was top 5, and if neither one of those teams could slow down Duke's offense, then he didn't know who could.

The only caveat to all of this is that Carolina knows how to play the zone really well. If they don't beat them, no one will.

KU and Duke actually have both been runner up 6 times each. However Duke has 5 titles while KU has 3. Nova has 3, UNC has 6. So for a fans standpoint this means a ton to each program. As a KU fan it’s been painful to see so many great teams fall short. That 2020 team was the most recent. Once you get there anything can happen. Duke has the most talent and with coach K last ride odds are stacked for them. If KU plays like they did against Miami second half Bill will cut his second net down. Nova is great. I like Jay Wright. Underrated and classy.
