Allowed a Kentucky gymnast to go again after she fell twice. Judge said there was an "equipment malfunction."

Total BS

That was ridiculous.

Totally screwed. Would have won easily if they had to keep the 9.6 or whatever it was.

That was a screw job.

And they adjusted one of their scores from 9.825 to 9.875 and that .50 was the final margin of the meet. frick every ref/judge across the country.

This

Also KY wasn't better in any event. The judging was sub par.

The adjustment was because they started with a higher difficulty.

I watched that routine on TV.

Her fall was just that.

She then fricked up her dismount, missing the goddamned bar with her second foot.

Nothing to do with the equipment.

Judges said there was an equipment malfunction. Seems like they should have stopped her routine if that were the case. Instead they let her finish and fall twice. Then allowed her to go again.

The only one I say they did better in is bars because the stuck every landing. I just don’t get how our girl falls off and there’s nothing wrong with the beam, but when their girl falls they want to do a full examination.

That was ridiculous but LSU was off and Jay Clark is costing the team with his lineups. Keeping Durante on beam is an absolute joke. It's to where both the coach and the gymnast need to realize that she should not do that event.

They must've discovered and fixed that equipment malfunction really quick because there was no apparent delay between her routine and the next one.

I loved when Elena killed it on bars and got a 9.825(?). As they posted her score the KY girl on vault has a massive hop back, almost falls of the left side of the mat and picks up her foot after her hop. Score cones in... 9.85

Saw that. Happened a couple of times.

Gymnastics is hard to watch because of the judging. My daughter loves it though so it's worth it.

They screwed Elena on beam too. She had great routines tonight.

Agreed

I’m not sure they counted the redo in the scoring anyway. UK was up and stayed on top

Agreed - the human element of scoring ruins this sport.
