2023 Detroit (Mich.) Martin Luther King quarterback Dante Moore is headed to visit LSU this weekend, where he’ll get a chance to see Brian Kelly’s program in Baton Rouge for the first time.

The four-star prospect visited LSU in the past under the prior staff and has had considerable interest in the program for a while now. If there’s a school in the South that can land Moore, LSU sits in a decent spot. This weekend is a chance to make a move.

“I loved it when I was down there with the old staff. It was one of my top visits,” Moore told The Wolverine’s EJ Holland this week. “I really enjoyed it. Brian Kelly has been real with me since he was at Notre Dame. The change with him going to LSU was crazy. It shocked everybody. He has a solid staff down there with Coach (Mike) Denbrock and Coach (Joe) Sloan. I’m hoping to have a great time when I visit. When I was down there last time, I felt the energy. I want to see if I get the same feeling.”

Threw for 40 TD to 3 INT last season and won a state title

This guy would be a huge land.

Yet somehow ranked far below the quarterback who's won 2 playoff games in 3 years in 2A.

Trust me I brought this up in 247's recent ranking update where arch is still the #1 overall prospect

His comments are articulate and mature. He doesn’t just make the usual trite comments manyrecruits do.

If your last name was Manning, you’d be the number 1 prospect too. Even if you played the flute in the band instead of football.

Arch is good, but he’s not the best QB in his class.

We should respect Dante and his ability and keep this thread about him. He's a great prospect and we should be focused on the excitement surrounding the possibility of snatching him from the Midwest

Malachi Nelson is the best QB in that class and its not close.

He'd drop to 4-Star if that were the case

Would be a huge pull for Brian Kelly to set the tone in the 2023 class. There was a lot of buzz early on that he was going to stay up north in B10 country. Hopefully he's as wide open/interested as his quotes indicate.
