I support Ukraine because I believe their citizens have the right to determine the future of their country, not Vladimir Putin.

Look. The liberal warhawks have arrived.
Sorry, we are more concerned about our own borders being overrun. I know this is your ultimate moment to distract patriots but I am still more concerned about the ridiculous fricking mandates, inflation, and out of control border.
So pardon me for not beating the war drum to get involved between a POS dictator invading a corrupt arse country that was in bed with our current President, his son, and his brother. I hope they self annihilate each other. If you dumb motherfrickers want to participate, start a GoFundMe or fly over there and grab a weapon. Don't ask for my tax money (yes, i know you will) or send troops many that I know that are still in to unravel the mess that NATO started... including that dumb retard you voted for.

With the Central Bank freezing Russia's assets, it forces Putin to bring the hammer on Ukraine quickly.
Russia wasn't even totally booted out of SWIFT.
How does this benefit Putin at all even if he gets all of Ukraine?

It's about stopping NATO expansion into the borderlands around Russia.
Not a formal agreement,so NATO can claim they aren't breaking a promise. The issues are all about control of border. If the USSR won cold war and signed military agreements with Mexico and Canada, we'd be uneasy as well.
NATO=USA, we can all agree with that I'm sure.

To understand Russia’s claims of betrayal, it is necessary to review the reassurances then US secretary of state James A. Baker made to former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev during a meeting on February 9, 1990. In a discussion on the status of a reunited Germany, the two men agreed that NATO would not extend past the territory of East Germany, a promise repeated by NATO’s secretary general in a speech on May 17 that same year in Brussels.

The Ukrainian government might be corrupt but that isn’t an excuse for the Russians to invade
You honestly can't be this fricking stupid. You have to be trolling. You think this has anything to do with the invasion. Turn off XiNN, MSNPC and quit reading The Washington Compost and HuffPaint.

Funny that posters who normally stick to other boars, come to Political board for answers and then cry when they get answers they don't like.
but to take it further
who the hell knows what has even happened in Ukraine yet? I have found western media to be pabulum dishers who have no clue themselves and over 1/2 of what they say is propaganda.
The other side is as censored as the deep states wishes ALL OF US to be.

Putin has warned numerous times over the last 22 years that continued NATO expansion was a threat. He said it over and over again. What he wanted was his sphere of influence.
It is not that Putin is anti- globalist. It's that we won't let him become a globalist....be one of the 5 families so to speak. BTW you can thank Bill Clinton and his foreign policy braintrust for sewing the seeds of this conflict. NATO expansion began in earnest during his second term.
Anyway, he probably has to be put down like a dog....that being said the US and Europe had best make a deal with his replacement so as to avoid this ever happening again....and make a deal that NATO expansion stops at the Polish border.

What’s the good side? The kleptocracy of Ukraine? No thanks. The people of Ukraine? Ok.

The Keptocracy was being fought by Zelinsky, it's not an easy thing to do and takes some time.

Putin's desire is for a re-unification of the former Soviet union not some desire to become part of a new global enterprise. This is not a man wanting to share glory with a bunch of elitists but one envisioning a new world order on his terms.
