We booked a cabin outside of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for 5 nights with the 3 kids (boys aged 5-9) over Mardi Gras.
Looking for fun shite to do and/or good places to eat.
The kids would enjoy the kitschy shite and the outdoorsy stuff so I'm all ears.
TIA
ETA: We got a place in Wears Valley

Visit Cade's Cove. The auto tour is pretty cool. Go at your own pace...lots of wildlife and historic schoolhouses, cemeteries, etc.
Take the Laurel Falls hiking trail.
Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show
Then the touristy shite in town (Ripley's Aquarium, Mysterious Mansion, Ole Smoky Moonshine)

Wake up EARLY and drive in the National Park during the day, touristy Gatlinburg stuff in the afternoon/night.
Waterfall hikes are my favorite thing to do - several of the "hikes" are paved trails that are easy for the kids.
My kids love the alpine coasters, horse riding, and going to Ober Gatlinburg for ice skating.
Great spot to stay - don't miss The Sinks waterfall right down the road. Little River Gorge road has some of the best pull-off spots and scenery in the park.

Check out Ober Gattlinburg for Snow Tubing, ice skating...
Anakeesta is a fun day activity. You can make reservations to ride the chair lift up the mountain, or just take the bus to the top. Chair lift line will get 2-3 hours long and not really worth the wait, bus trip may be a 30 minute wait
Don't recall when it reopens after winter, but if Dollywood is reopened you can hit all the rides several times during a weekday

We really enjoyed English Mountain Trout Farm and Grill.
You catch 'em; they cook 'em. Really fun for the kiddos.

I know its not much of a recommendation but seriously just drive through the national park. There are plenty of hikes if you're looking for that but if not you can just drive for a few hours through the park and see some incredible sights. Cade's Cove gives you a chance to drive and see things as well as get out and see some old time churches and houses and whatnot.
