Chloropicrin is often used as an herbicide. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), exposure to its vapors can cause severe irritation to the skin, eyes, and, if inhaled, internal organs.
It's rather easy to make. Most herbicides, pesticides and fungicides are used at extremely low concentrations by homeowners.
It does not sterilize soil and is destroyed by sunlight thus doesn't linger to harm invaders. It can damage older type gas masks. I see where it is often used followed by methyl bromide in agriculture.

Now do housing
1980 housing is mostly hood rat size for today. Housing today has fancier and more costly appliances too.
Apples to oranges once again. Mortgages are way less expensive than 1980 even at today's higher rates.
Once again you fail to understand that the cost of money is a major factor in final cost.

You just make claims and never offer anything of substance. You're shooting bullshite from the hip and always missing the target.
LINK
Home price to income has soared since the 1980s
Wages have gone up, but so have prices
So the average person has less money as a % of their income for other things.
People have more toys now because rates were so low for so long that they financed everything, they don't actually own that stuff (in general anyway)

Housing costs to income ratio is at record highs
And build quality is lower.
Housing to income ratio is apples to oranges?
Real median household income per the census:
1985: 56k
2022: 74k
Mortgage on an average home at the rates in that year:
Rates are higher now than they were in 2022, but we will go with what we have from the census for the comparison
1985: $531 per month
2022: $1869 per month
13% rate in '85 (I actually rounded up)
5% rate in '22 (rounded down here)
So a mortgage costs 3.5x and median household income went up .5x

For average people, life has generally gotten worse over the last 40 years. These people have seen their wages stagnate, their communities decline, and their health get much worse.

"I'm Not Ruling Anything Out" - Macron Says Troops for Ukraine Possible if Russia Breaks Front Lines
Some analysts believe that Russia could be on the verge of launching a major new offensive in Ukraine.
French President Emmanuel Macron has reaffirmed that he doesn't rule out sending troops to Ukraine if Russia breaks through Ukrainian front lines and Kyiv requests such assistance.
In an interview with The Economist, Macron stated that the possibility of sending troops would "legitimately" arise in such a scenario.
Macron's comments come in the wake of rising tensions amid concerns that Russia may launch a major new offensive in Ukraine.
Some analysts believe that Russia could be on the verge of launching a major new offensive in Ukraine.
"I'm not ruling anything out, because we are facing someone who is not ruling anything out," said Macron when asked if he stood by comments earlier this year not excluding the sending of Western troops that sent shockwaves around Europe.
He emphasized that if Russia were to escalate its actions, it would force all European leaders to consider sending troops.
"If Russia decided to go further, we will, in any case, all have to ask ourselves this question" of sending troops, describing his refusal to rule out such a move as a "strategic wake-up call for my counterparts," Macron said.
French president described Russia as "a power of regional destabilisation" and a significant threat to European security.
Furthermore, he outlined his strategic objective, stating that Russia cannot be allowed to win in Ukraine.
"I have a clear strategic objective: Russia cannot win in Ukraine," Macron said.
"If Russia wins in Ukraine, there will be no security in Europe.

"strategic wake-up call" to me sounds like he is trying to sneakily imply that the west needs to posture on direct involvement in order to get a better deal for Ukraine in peace talks.
Historically posturing sometimes leads to actual conflict, but I don't think its necessarily a bad strategy if that is his goal.

The quality of leaders in the West is really low. You're talking about people who aren't that smart, aren't that well educated, and on a fundamental level usually aren't serious people. On the other hand, they're almost always cowards though, and so they really avoid taking risks.
I do think we should be concerned about the possibility of a really dumb mistake. On the other hand, France did apparently invite Russia to the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landing, and they wouldn't have done that a year ago. Relations were too poor.

How much longer does everyone think before Russia gets a break through in the lines?
I think it is getting worse by the day. At some point Ukraine is going to crack. It may not be over run but I think they will give up some big areas.
Ukraine is being smart by reacting to Russian attacks but it will only take one mistake and Russia will exploit it. Not enough men on the lines for Ukraine.
