I have a rental car.

Are the Everglades worth seeing?

Go hang around South Beach for a while.

How do you have a rental car and 10 hour layover? Was that planned on purpose? Are you going to have luggage or just a carry on?

That’s not that much time considering you will need 2.5 hours or more to park and go through security and what not.

I’d probably just drive around and grab a bite to eat.

Forget the rental car. Do what I did… Uber to Little Havana to a cigar bar. Smoke a couple cigars, have a few drinks… kill a few hours and head back to the airport.

I'd go to J. Wakefield Brewery and bounce around in that area. It's the only part of Miami that appealed to me but I was only there for one night.

Not too far from the airport, so go eat at Versailles. Hit up the restaurant and the bakery. Then, ride over to Wynwood and enjoy.

Avoid Miami Beach. If you want to see water, just go to Bayside Marketplace.
