What was your OTD price and what type of financing deals does Honda offer? Looking for a Si 6 speed manual (4 door hatchback) in black or white for college student son. Anything to look out for with these vehicles?

you may be able to get something decent on a base or sport. On an Si you would be lucky to get MSRP plus bout $2k in add ons. Most dealers have 0 Si.

Si's have been selling over MSRP for years, way before Covid came along. WHY are you getting your college kid a new Si? Get him something nice but used, it doesn't have to be an Si... Honda surprisingly lags behind other brands in resale value, so used Hondas are usually a decent deal.

Dude. Buy a used Civic Si. 8th gen (2006-2011) is the best one. $7-9k for one under 100K miles. I had one as my side ride and it was the most fun car I've ever driven. Beat the shite out of it and never had one problem other than the high mileage engine (194k) burning oil (which was ultimately why I sold it).
Buying a new car right now is a dumb move.

Well most dealerships right now tell you too look at the website and whatever price it is, is what they are gonna sell it to your for, plus shipping charges and whatever they feel like adding on. No more no less. Plus you have to wait 8 to 12 weeks for it to come in.

Get a used one and save the money.

Used 10th generation Si's are selling for more than they were new right now bc the 11th gen is garbage.

Are you stuck on the Civic? There are a few other cars out there in the same price range that are worth considering.

Buying an Accord for my daughter's grad present. The Lafayette dealer tried to hit me with $2500 in add on features and $1000 in titling fees. I searched and found the same vehicle in Amarillo Texas for $5000 less OTD... $29,250.00. The Lafayette dealer wanted nearly 35K for the exact same vehicle.
We had to pay sticker (which kills me). I am flying out when it arrives at the dealer and will drive it back to Wylie, Tx. SWA ticket is $59 one way.
