Please update your post to reflect his recruiting rankings NATIONALLY during his tenure.

For the record, I don't care about conference wins (except for their significance to NCAA tournament seeding) or conference titles. Basketball success is measured in the postseason (and not by just making it into the field).

Maybe my standards are just higher.

Or maybe you have no idea what you are talking about.

SEC standings are a great measure because you play the same group of teams each season. It’s important to improve your conference record. It shows you are improving and if helps you get in the tourney and get a better seed the better you do.

Yeah, the 13 teams you play every year are the measuring stick, especially when the SEC was in the top 4 conferences in the country during that stretch.

You win the SEC, you are competing for top 4 seeds and competing in the second weekend of the tournament.

Your standards aren't higher, your understanding of how you measures those standards is off.

This is the exact opposite of reality. The tournament is very unpredictable and while winning it catapults you into historic recognition it’s not the standard of success. Guys like Bob Huggins, Rick Barnes, Bruce Pearl, Mark Few, Ben Howland and on and on are elite and likely future HOF coaches but have 0 titles between them despite well over 100 years combined coaching experience at upper level schools. Wade is in year 5.
