Yea people who support Wade are blind to be in top 4 in SEC the last 3 years and 4 straight ncaas after this program was completely irrelevant for a decade. Who has the best record in the SEC over the last 3 years?
Yes, he deserves criticism for the collapse this year but if you’re honest with yourself, the talent isn’t great on this team. Days is who he is - an inconsistent player who tries very hard. Lot of the high stars are really young and Eason has huge faults. It should still be a tourney team and if he doesn’t make it this year, that’s an atrocious job.
But, look at the talent coming in next year. It has the chance to be one of the more talented LSU teams in recent memory. We have to be realistic about LSU basketball - to be in position with this type of talent is the exception rather than the rule for our program. Yet under Wade we continually are getting some great talent.
We’re all emotional about the collapse but calling for Will’s job at this point is absurd.

What has he done with the talent?

This is just what a lot of idiots in our fanbase do. They are unreasonable and pretty clueless on most sports. They expect a coach who brings us to the final 4 every year even though no coach will ever do that.

Bringing big talent here isn’t Wade’s problem. It’s what he does with them once they’re here.

No man, the LSU brand and your savior of an AD should be able to hire a legitimate coach that can recruit kids to a system. We don’t need top 5 classes. How often does Kentucky, Kansas, Duke win national championships now days?
