A response to 6 bottles of knob creek (you can’t find a on a shelf) out of 119 was what was talked about the whole first page.

I have a problem with that. You have extremely thin skin obviously. Sorry you didn’t win any of the shite bottles on the list, maybe next year

you should have just left it at "k bye." But once again you can't help yourself because not everyone fellates you.

Calandros gives everyone an opportunity to win a rare bourbon while also raising a ton of money for charity.

The stores in Lafayette just keep the rare shite for themselves, friends, or sell it online. I wish they did stuff like this.

Dude your first post on this thread was:

quote:

Yeah, exactly. 6 bottles out of 102 are a 2015 Knob Creek Pick, picked and signed by Fred Noe.

We've sold 50k worth of tickets so far... The knob creek store pick must be a hit!!!

Shiver me butthurt! You took exception to me saying that I'm not paying $10/ticket to win a knob pick, and you went off on some weird condescending tangent about it being signed and people are buying tickets for that. That's a very odd reply from someone who was defending a charity function against people calling out the authenticity of the charity. Funny how you didn't say one thing about charity in your post.

No. You just couldn't handle that people think you're overcharging for raffle tickets to win a bottle that is found on just about any liquor store's shelves. Don't try to switch this to defending your charity, because that shite was brought up after your meltdown.

Nobody was bashing you or your store until you chimed in with that nonsense.

So do you have an axe to grind with Alexander's as well? They too, had a CHARITY raffle at $15/ticket. Or is your ire only thrown towards Calandro's?

Maybe. Is their owner gonna come in here and show his arse as well?

Nobody is dropping extra dollars to get a chance at a Knob store pick that is *gasp* signed by the owner.

Their 9 year knob creek store pick was fantastic. Huge layers of caramel. My brother brought over a bottle, i had a taste. Next morning, went over there and picked up a bottle of my own.

quote:

The issue is that the money used to buy 3 tickets puts a damn good bottle of bourbon on my shelf for that same price. You're selling your tickets at way too high a price point. You're actually limiting your sales, because people like me will not drop that kind of money on a very slim chance. Those that have been would be dropping that coin regardless of your ticket prices. My friend bought $100 worth of tickets from you. Guess what, he was spending that if they were $1.

1) Alexander's tickets were $15/ticket. Yet you only bitch about calandro's.
2) How are they "limiting sales"? The ticket price goes straight to charity. It's optional if you want to participate. You are not being forced. And, i'm pretty sure every bottle drawn was purchased. So, your "sales" argument is rather silly.

quote:

All you did was annoy people like me and minimize the money for that charity. I was ready to buy a few until I heard $10, and I am not the only one.

So, you're annoyed about how much you have to give to charity? Maybe...you're just cheap. And that is the real problem. Maybe, you didn't get picked. And that is the real problem. I didn't get picked, but i don't have heartburn over it. Something tells me, however, if you bought tickets and got picked, you would not be posting.

We'd have had to buy tickets first. Not to mention this thread was going before the picks actually happened, so swing and a miss with that guess.

So how little of your money is the appropriate amount for charity, in your opinion?

Is their owner gonna come in here and show his arse as well?

Maybe if you bashed him online he would. Especially when implicate that teh money raised is not all going to charity. If you were to state that in a newspaper or other official news source, you could be sued for libel.

In the end, you and others are just complaining because you didn't get picked. If you did get picked, you wouldn't bitch about the $10 charity cost.

There are places where you can easily buy any of the bourbons you seek, and you don't have to donate to a charity to do so. But you aren't going to pay those prices, are you?

Maybe not, but i also didn't read through the entire shite show. So you DID participate and are bitching?

Why, exactly, are you bitching? Other than some sense of entitlement.

Sad to say that i did not. But my response to not winning is the response for not winning the Alexander's raffle.

Maybe next year. Enjoy your melt. It's a spicy one.

I had no issue until your boy came in here with an attitude just because not everyone likes his event. Maybe try reading before jumping in next time.

It appears, on page 2, the post you took issue with, was not cdro's.

You were melting in this thread long before he showed up.

Not sure what point you think you're making there, but it seems you didn't even read that post all the way through.

ETA: Uh, maybe go back to page 1 and see who posted there with a butthurt post ...

I just went back specifically to look at your posts. You replied to everyone but cdro. So you saying "i didn't have an issue until he started bitching", is not on the mark. He responded to midget death squad on page 1, when he was being bitchy about a signed knob creek. But every one of YOUR POSTS, outside of the last page, was to other people taking issue with his and YOUR comments.

You're coming off the rails, man. How many times have you actually ever spoken to cdro, in person?

Based solely off his posts here and how his band of cock gobblers acted in this thread, I likely won't ever speak to him. Certainly won't spend any money at his stores. He'll survive just fine, just like I will. The real question is why can't you handle someone not sharing your opinion?

It's always interesting, how people are willing to talk so much shite about people, as long as they are limited to doing it online. That's not just you, many people are like this. Yet, the store is easily accessible, and you can easily have a chat with him, if you're not a dick.

What, exactly, is my opinion? I'm trying to figure out why a few of you are losing your minds over a charity liquor raffle. And why THIS raffle, is the only one you are so mad about.

I can form an opinion if you can give a reasonable explanation rather than "i took issue with his response on page 1" which you didn't really address that response until you were a few posts deep in this thread.
