I fully believe that the vast majority of natives who are fans of both teams, outside of NOLA area, would take a LSU NC over Saints SB.
That in itself doesn’t make it ridiculous. The question was is he the state’s most beloved athlete, not just the city’s. I’m gonna go ahead and guess you live in NOLA metro.

Louisiana’s reaction to Burrow and the Bengals is pretty reflective of how he’s viewed in this state. And it’s not a “we hate the Chiefs,” thing either. It’s been there since last year.
