D1 Baseball just released their 2022 SEC Preview and Projections.

The have LSU coming in 4th in the West - behind Arkansas, MS State and Old Miss.

They did project nine SEC teams to make the Regionals:
(Ranked in Order): Arkansas, Vandy, MS State, Old Miss, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina

One final note, they did predict that Dylan Crews would be the SEC Player of the Year.

Pretty crazy coincidence that they’re predicting us to have the same exact record as last season.

If this team loses 8 OOC games with this schedule then we are in for a long year

This team is going to be better than that, I feel. Pitching is going to be a question mark, but Jay and Kelly are going to piece games together as opposed to just having two or three horses work on the weekends.

They have LSU as the 8th best team in the nation

Albeit behind those secw teams

But that can’t be their record prediction

No coincidence. It's called extremely lazy reporting.

I agree, we have the same core team as last year and have added some significant new talent. And it seems the core team is being better coached and has plugged some holes from last year.

No doubt that Ark, Vandy, State and Old Miss are going to be tough - but I don't see us going below .500 in conference play.

Good news is that we are about to find out!

In case y'all did not know, D1 Baseball is owned and operated by Aggies. JFYI...

I don’t think their is a team with a better trio of hitters in the SEC than Crews, Berry & Tre Morgan

That explains some of their math skills.

But they didn't show the Aggies any love either:

SEC Record: 9-21
Overall: 29-27

Jay Johnson”s record is pretty good in his first year after taking over programs. I think we will be a little better than the pundits think.

No, it’s not a prediction. The OP is wrong.

It’s the records from 2021

I don’t know why they copied them and didn’t do a prediction which is what they’re supposed to be doing.

The conference is always a grind, and our schedule isn't great. At Florida, at Miss St, at Arkansas, at Alabama, and finish at Vandy. If you don't get swept in those and take care of business at home, you're at least at .500. To get over .500, you need to steal a few on the road and/or sweep a few at home.

I'll say 17-13.

You are correct sir!

There is a asterisk note at the top of the list that says:

*Teams are listed in order of projected finish. 2021 regional teams in bold.

Sorry for the confusion!

Pitching is going to be a question mark

If this is true then expect to lose quite a few games. Johnson needs time to recruit some pitchers.
