I believe there are 7 spots left correct?

I don't follow the total make up of the team as much as you guys, so what do they need?

Just off hand it seems like:

1) LB
2) TE
3) Another DB
4) Center
5) WR depth
6) RB

Would be the biggest needs remaining?

On top of that what players do you see coming in to fill depth with the remaining spots?

I would say LB is our biggest need now, that and TE.

Right now, we're targeting via HS:
1 LB - Perkins
1 S - Mathews
1 TE - Lewis
1 RB - Citizen
1 WR - Douglas
1 CB - Robinson

Now, you can argue we're targeting them Need vs Want, but we definitely need a TE and LB depth.

Getting Mathews helps us figure out the DB room bc we may need to move a S to CB (like Ward). We also did offer a '22 Texas CB and he's visiting this weekend. I like or DB transfer hauls, but Bernard and Foucha are one and dones after this season, and we probs lose Ward to the draft, too.

The RB room already has 6 guys, but everyone is unknown rn.

Douglas isn't an immediate need, but he'd be great for depth as we lose Boutte and Jenkins and we have so many WRs in one class (Bech, Nabers, Hilton, Thomas, Smith).

I say they save the remaining spots as needed post spring. LB, TE (even if we do get Lewis), CB, OL. I'm more nervous than others appear to be about continuing to pick up transfer guys who have limited eligibility since that just kicks the can down the road, but I'll trust CBK

2) C/G

3) TE

4) CB

IMO in that order or who is available.

This, though another WR for depth couldn't hurt.

We will probably need a QB after Spring practice is over.

We only have 1 scholarship TE and he’s not very good (no offense). We need a TE badly.

Mason Taylor, and Lewis would be te #2/3.

Point is valid on current te being very subpar. Both these kids look much more fluid, and both of them carry all of their weight very well, with room for more.

Good feeling that we are not thinking we need more Offensive Linemen at this point in the process.

CBK did some good work there.

Majority of our talent and team was composed of inexperienced freshman and sophomores who have been thrown to the wolves. That's just not sustainable and need those transfers to add depth and experience so those kids who need development can get that time. The difference in our team versus others in the SEC comes from having almost no upperclassmen.

The way the transfer portal has changed this year, I dont see how it slows down in the future though.
