There's different reasons for different players. A player on the list doesn't mean i hate them, think less of their on field talent or any other emotional outburst you may have.

Some of these players are age issues, fit issues, all a sort of cap issues moving forward during our rebuild. Michael Thomas could be part of a culture rebuild but i'm not privy to inside the lockerroom issues as to what may be and what may not be. I think some of these players carry some significant value maybe a couple just have moderate.

1. Michael Thomas

2. Cameron Jordan

3. Alvin Kamara

4. Malcolm Jenkins

5. Bradley Roby

6. David Onyemata

Lattimore, Davenport, Ramczyk, McCoy, Davis, and some others would like a word with you.

Marcus Williams is an interesting option as well. I would entertain offers for him, not sure how active or desperate i would be.

He’s the style of running back every NFL team needs.

If we’re rebuilding to be the titans then We’ve pretty much capped ourselves.

Peat/Trautman for Boyd/Sample with Cincy

The money would be close to a push.

They’d be fools not to jump on that deal.

We are not rebuilding.

If crab legs doesn’t get hurt, we are in the playoffs.

Promote Allen, retain the staff, and nothing really changes. Trade SP, and use that draft capital, in part, to get someone like Wilson. Continue managing the cap for the next 2-3 seasons and make a few more runs.

100% agree.

Saints should trade everybody they can, cut the rest and start over. Rebuild from the ground up. Spend the next 2 seasons going 1-16 and getting draft picks. Get out from under all the bad money Loomis spent. It was what it was but that's the price.

Then you rebuild.

Honestly, I think a lot of the next 10 super bowls are going to be won by teams with good a QB on their 4 or 5th year of their rookie contracts. Teams just can't get enough playmakers when the QB eats up 20% of the cap.

Almost the same list as NFL.com...

This seems to be the route to go unfortunately. The Saints have to rebuild almost from scratch with cheap young talent to get any semblance of an offense. They also talk about putting Taysom Hill on the trade block as well. The end of an era seems to be just that.

Couple notes on Taysom i have.

Yes i would listen to offers for taysom but i'm just not quite sure what those offers would be. His injury really puts a wrinkle in this. Nobody knows how he's going to come back.

With such a huge question mark, you keep him. He has the ability to play qb well for us among other positions if needed. If kamara would be traded, then taysom may be a needed offensive spark, redzone guy. He also could be a huge part of transitioning our team and roster from a leadership and culture perspective.

It feels go to be released from big contracts that you don't get the production from. The question is HOW do you sucker another team to take them.

Outside of Cam who is old, Onymata is our best D lineman. Kamara is our best offensive weapon imo even with MT. I agree about Roby, no idea cap hit with MJ. MT is a problem this board made up so he’s coming back. Way too much of a cap hit to cut him

maybe interior. not best d lineman though. He can carry good value for a team competing.

Hence we'd get great compensation.

Also a ton of cap savings though moving forward. It wouldn't be an impossibility to trade him if we're doing a moderate rebuild or also looking for a culture change with him out the building.

Before yesterday I would have said frick off to all of these except for Jenkins and Roby

However, if we decide to hire a coach from the outside and go for a full scale rebuild, which I'm honestly fine with, then I would be Ok with trading some of the others. I think it would be a massive mistake to trade that entire list

OH man. You're so smart. There's zero probability of us tagging him and not letting him walk for free.

You do this if you are willing to tank the next 2-3 years to get out of the cap hell and allow the new coach time to rebuild. If you are trying to attract a top tier coach and expect him to succeed right away you cannot trade 1 or 3. You need them to buy in and work with the new HC & OC to get a stud QB. Get rid of the only 2 weapons, you are guaranteeing that no QB with legit market value will want to come here.
