Apparently shes a mayor and a Democrat. So what do you think? Maybe... its staged like in the fact that she meant to show case this problem, but im sure the problem is very realistic she is trying to draw attention to.

Especially since the whole trip to part in California. If any place is going to have plenty of charging stations, that'd be it.
