The Bengals have been to the super bowl twice. And both times lost to the 49ers

About to play them again. It's destiny.

And both were good games.

And the first time one of my all time favorite Tigers, Charles Alexander - getting tackled at the 1-foot line was the play of the game that allowed the Niner victory.

Cool Joe Montana at his best leading the game-winning drive in Super Bowl XXIII.

Shanahan gets nervous in the Super Bowl and pulls Jimmy G late in the 4th quarter with the game tied up. Joe Montana, signed out of retirement just hours before game time, leads the game winning drive with a TD in the back the end zone to Kittle. Bengals fans stare in silence and disbelief, unable to process what the frick just happened

Paul Brown cursed his own franchise when he tried to blackball Walsh from getting a head coaching job. His penance is that the Bengals must lose their Super Bowl appearances to the 49ers.

Dumb arse Stanley Wilson decides Saturday night before the game is a great time to have a drug relapse. Then Krumrie broke his leg in the first quarter. Benglas were playing with 2 hands tied behind their back. That was the 88 team.

Little known fact about the Bengals that season. Sam Whyche ran the hurry up no huddle offense back then. Read up on their game with the Bills. The Bills were feigning injuries to slow down the Bengals.

A QB named Joe won both those SBs.
