She had a “option” to buy at that price, she didn’t buy it. There was no sale, so no taxes were due. I know it’s disappointing to s lot of Democrats who are are DAs, or with the DOJ, but the US is not yet like “Minority Report” where people can be prosecuted for something they may do in the future.

I read this as using property as collateral to obtain a loan or just to pull off equity of a property. Am I right?
Isn't it on the bank to correctly value the property?

From a gift and estate tax purpose, you most certainly cannot sell your real estate or other assets at deflated values. Considering it wasn’t even sold I can’t see how this is a legal problem or an IRS problem.

So she’s been investigating for nearly 3 years and this is her “gotcha”? My dad sold me his Bronco for 10 bucks so I could put the title in my name when I was younger. Was that illegal? Does she not think the IRS hasn’t been trying to find anything on him? They probably have a dedicated wing in their office to him. This kind of shite is the main reason if I were him I wouldn’t even think about running for president again. I’d pack it in at Mar a Lago and give everyone the double bird.
