Joel Embiid was a #3 overall pick.

Oden and Zion were both #1 picks who have issues getting on the floor. The pick after them were Durant and Ja Morant, respectively, who have obviously outplayed the first overall pick of their years.

I’m not saying the sky is falling. I will say the comparison, to date, is an apt one. I’ll worry more if Zion hasn’t played more than a handful of games by next year.

Depends on how you define that.

Morant's only positive over Zion is health in that he has played more games. He certainly hasn't outplayed Zion when Zion has played, but again, he's played more than Zion. May be semantics mostly, but important to point out Zion when playing is clearly much better than Morant.
