All he had to do was not lie on his forms.

Look at this bootlicker. The government's argument to deport him had nothing to do with that.

There was evidence that Djokovic was to be deported based on Hawke's assessment that he was considered a "talisman of a community of anti-vaccination sentiment."

Amazing that people who call themselves "liberals" are cheering another country's deportation for a thought crime.

Novak Djokovic is BANNED from returning to Australia for three years because of thought crime.

Australia is officially the laughing stock of the world.

“Eroding regard for Covid rules and vaccinations”
Wow I can’t believe he actually said that out loud. Anyone that thinks this is okay is lost.

Will also face a likely 3 year ban from Australia. frick you Australia

And...he was deported not because he was a threat to public health, but because he presence might lend support to the antivaxination movement.

I’ve seen this same comment in other threads but never any detail of what lies were told on what forms. Can you please provide more details?

Did you say Nadal should refuse to play?? He respects Novak but Federer is his actual buddy. Dude ain't passing up a clear shot at a second Aussie.

Correct...Nadal is probably jumping for joy. With Novak out, he has a chance to win it.

Meanwhile, Novak has been replaced by what’s known as the lucky loser, a player who loses in the qualifying tournament but gets into the main draw because of another player’s exit before competition has started. That player is Italian Salvatore Caruso, who is ranked 150th in the world.

Regardless of politics or whether or not you agree with what Australia laid down, Novak’s reputation has the least been diminished because he lied. People will remember him for this.

They asked if he had traveled in the last 14 days. He checked No but went to Spain for a few days before traveling to Australia.

Australian government has gone crazy, and if he wanted them to let him in he needed to meet their criteria.

Who controls what the majors are? I would strip them of this being a major and move it somewhere else.

They should have executed him on the spot for that egregious offense. Thank god the government of Australia is looking out for the well being of its citizens.

Nobody takes the vaccine to help reduce the spread. It’s taken to reduce symptoms.
