It has worked very well. Recent history is way above the standard for most franchises.

They caught fire in a bottle early b/c we had a GOAT-level QB on a cheap deal and hit a few longshots in the draft.

It got REAL bad after that outlier/longshot core had to be replaced somewhat.

I mean we traded Jimmy G a year after his big deal and cut Junior Gallette a year after his big deal. That was the low point.

Those 2 moves followed signing Byrd and the infamous 2014 draft...OK maybe that was the low point.

You are wrong. The Loomis and Payton Duo were mediocre when it came to college and professional player acquisitions.
