Come on Perry Mason. Explain your assertion that a modern compound bow is more primitive than a modern crossbow. We’re waiting.

I won't argue the "primitive" nature of either, but one definitely takes a lot more practice and skill. My wife got a crossbow, shot it 3x and went and smoked a doe @ 35yds, with deer all around on first sit this season. MFer is like a rifle at short ranges. It's pretty damn impressive.

On topic, congrats to that guy. Hell of a deer.
