Fought the good fight long enough. Very conservative with 3 young kids, high income business that can be run remotely. Where do I move out of state but still remain in the gulf coast area?

Why stay in one of the worst areas of the country?

Fairhope/Daphne Alabama area is great. You can still buy a few acres of land and the beach is right there in case you want to buy a beach house. ( I suggest Fort Morgan, or Dauphin Island ).

Don’t come to the north shore whatever you do.

Is it Tuesday already? Didn't realize it was already time for this weekly thread.

Florida panhandle would be my choice. These days going from Louisiana to Florida is like going from the Ukraine to Switzerland.

Buy some acreage in a rural area in any of the gulf coast states and make a homestead. The state doesn’t matter as much a population density. You’ll find peace in a rural location

I've had people tell me that Mobile is nice.

Ive heard good things about raising a family in Fairhope, AL

Fairhope or Ocean Springs would be at the top. Great towns, vibrant food and arts scene with great youth sports and schools.
Gulf Breeze or Pensacola if you want a little larger municipal feel.
Congrats your kids and wife will thanks you within the first month.

If I’m going rural it’s doubtful I’m doing it in the gulf coast area. You will still be around a lot of trashy damn people

Thanks. Have been considering these areas. Appreciate the response. We’re going check out fairhope this weekend.

Same. I'd retreat to at least NC or Tenn if staying in the South. Virginia maybe.
