One of the few transfer portal rules is that the player must be in good academic standing. So if he’s ineligible how the hell is he transferring?

He may have class work to get in order, but being in the portal allows him to contact other teams and vice versa.

Apparently, there's something going on or more about this program that we're not aware of. We have too many players opting to leave the program. Most simply chalk it up to "CBK changing the culture" but there's much more to it.

Told to leave.

I’m actually loving this.
Cut these frickers loose who can’t get it together in all aspects of being a collegiate athlete at LSU.
Well, when we are about the level of Missouri when Oklahoma and Texas join the SEC I guess we will have to be proud of that "culture".

“Show me the money!” That’s all this is about. He’ll establish his market value and if we match it, he pulls his name from the portal and stays at LSU.

Probably should be allowed to do it at LSU unless he’s paying for it and has the grades to stay in school.

If your transferring, you gotta be able to leave.

I mean it isn't any mystery. New coaching staff, bad culture from the last staff, new coach runs a tighter ship, players can transfer right away, NIL, etc.

If it seems different at LSU than anywhere else it's because they didn't have Orgeron running the program into the ground.

If Kelly is forcing out the likes of McGlothern for being late (to what I have no idea since there haven't been any practices) then Kelly isn't going to last very long.
yea we definitely need players that have no dependability

Why assume he is being forced out? It is more likely someone sat him down and explain to him the expectations of the job. If you are going to get paid, this is a job, not fun sports. Probably never had that with O. Some guys will see the change and transfer because they think the grass is greener, some see it as a challenge and will improve, and some will just quit. That is like any job in life.

Guys it's okay, Corey Raymond was terrible. We will be much better off without him. Things are already looking up.

frick Raymond for sitting on his lazy arse the last two seasons while our secondary descended into chaos and frick you for giving him a pass for it. You can’t coach a secondary full of quitters and guys with no discipline who have to be shown the door and expect a pat on the fricking back and a raise.

Because some insiders have been saying this was coming due to discipline issues. It’s been talked about since just before the bowl game when he wasn’t on the roster.

Charlie Hannagriff said it on his podcast a while back, and I think he is right. When you see guys transfer out who are either starters or who have already had significant playing time and are in line to continue to play, that means they are leaving for NIL reasons. I think it's obvious LSU did nothing to prepare for the changes NIL brought. Hopefully Woodward and BK have a plan for the changing landscape that is college football.
