He was immediately mentioning his hurt players, yet he had an excess of 4 and 5 stars available to plug in.

If he wants consideration for the rare time he gets beat by a superior roster, then should we asterisk ?? the Nattys when he had superior roster talent?

Can't have it both ways, super coach

This arse whoopin was long over due for this Alabama team. They played all year like the logo on their equipment truck would win the game.

He's fortunate he rarely has to deal with devastating injuries.

It's a common refrain of just about any team, but it does ring hollow when it's the blue bloods crying. Seen many LSU fans lament about not having this player or that player for a game whether it be suspension (due to targeting) or injury.

When you're a team that recruits primarily 4 and 5 star talent, talking about 1 or 2 players missing as the cause of defeat is just excuses.

he's 5 deep in 4* and 5* players. You're screwed if you go there. Totally screwed.

Of course he was, and so was Kirk. Look, that's part of the game. I cant stand people who give excuses and dont accept getting beat.

As good as their recruiting classes have been, they still had to ho to the transfer portal for a starting WR and a starting LB.

His top two Receivers both tore their ACL in games against Georgia. If you do not think that altered the game then you're delusional. Georgia won fair and square, injuries are an unfortunate part of the game.

But do not act like losing Mechie and Williams didn't have any impact on the game cause it did.

They plugged in two 5 star receivers for Metchie and Williams. I have zero sympathy for Bama and their "depleted" roster.

So to follow that thinking, when Bama beats a team that's short of players due to injuries, they shouldn't consider it a victory?

Saban wins because of superior talent.

He's not some wizard

Clearly you do not know how to read. I never once said the victory should have an * or not be counted.

Not sure anyone is saying it didn't impact the game. What is true is that injuries are part of the game and the team that wins is often the team that overcomes the injuries.

So the whining and tears really have no place in the game. They just have to suck it up. To be champions you have to be prepared for everything. Bama did not have the next man up ready to go and thus they got beat.

His backup WR's did not perform at the same level as Metchie and Williams. Definitely had an impact...go back and look at the dropped passes which resulted in a FG instead of a TD.

Good point.

Every team has injuries.

qb is unquestionably the most important single position in college football. A team with a top tier qb can dominate. Bama had a heisman winner at qb. And Georgia was playing with a walk on qb!

Here is a list of players out for Ga:-
OL Tate Ratledge (Foot) – OUT for season
DB Tykee Smith (Knee) – OUT for season
CB Jalen Kimber (Shoulder) – OUT for season
LB Rian Davis (Quad) – OUT for season
LB Trezman Marshall (Knee) – OUT for season
WR Arian Smith (Leg) – OUT for season

Do they not matter?

Also, they had a bunch of player hurt that were questionable before the game. They probably played injured.

Bama had the best recruiting class of anyone the past few years. Their backups are starters for most teams. Too bad that Saban didn’t prepare them for the game. That is on coaching.

Bama had the talent to win that game. Georgia’s defense is legit though and Their qb is just good enough to keep them in it.
Bama’s qb, the heisman trophy winner, made some horrible passes and that proved to be the kiss of death imo.

Bama lost.
