I was hoping the Boutte noise was just noise but to hear the kid say he was leaving and the NIL deal kept him in Baton Rouge paints a dismal picture.
Just hate to see this game headed in this direction. NFL farm system now

Do you blame the kids? I can’t really see anyone as rational that does.

It’s a game that you have to play. If you don’t, you become Vanderbilt.

Top CFB programs have been the NFL farm system for awhile...nothing has changed except for the ability of players to be compensated for value they're generating.

He never said this, but anyone with half a brain could read between the lines and know that's what was going to happen if Gordon didn't pay him

Sconer had a interview with Boutte and The lawyer. I saw it on his facebox. Go find it. He said after the coaching change he wanted to leave.

You mean OPENLY compensated. Those kids from Amite driving Dodge Chargers for example.

If it makes you feel better, we’ve been paying players forever and will continue to pay them going forward. There’s just a lot more money going around. The feds will regulate it somehow.

If anyone in business turned down a lateral move for a high six figure pay raise we would laugh.

Point being. A&M had a historic recruiting classes. I’ll repeat. A&M had a historic recruiting class after multiple mediocre seasons.
NIL passes, #1 class. No NIL, they’d be talking about Fishers hot seat. No wonder he didn’t want to leave, he knew.

I wonder how much he got. I find it hard to believe the other schools bidding couldn’t have out paid gordon

The problem might might not be NIL. It could be the fact that kids can just transfer at will, almost. Bring back you have to sit for one year and this could help. You should definitely have to sit a year if you transfer inside conference.

Sometimes in that situation you don't have to be the highest bidder.
