Recommendations for mountain resorts in Colorado. Just me and wife.

We’ve never been to Colorado and want to do a luxury resort somewhere up there for our anniversary this year in the winter of 2022.
We’ve never been skiing but we don’t necessarily HAVE to this trip. I’d rather focus on the other resort Amenities (dining, spa, golf)
Eta: brain fart when I put golf on there lol

Vail or Aspen is your answer if you are not faint of wallet. Both have some very nice hotels and restaurants. There’s one restaurant in Vail that you take the snowcat up and down to get there.

Beaver Creek has what you’re looking for. But you damn sure won’t be golfing.

The Little Nell in Aspen

The only golf you will be doing this time of year is an indoor facility and I know for certain that the Vail CC has a nice simulator. Great way to spend an afternoon!
I’m sure Aspen has a similar facility if you checked into it.
If luxury is what you are looking for Vail and Aspen have many options that fit the bill.

You are really on an island with the main purpose of skiing at Bachelor Gulch RC.

My wife and I just got back from Beaver Creek. Stayed at the Westin in Avon. This was our 1st time skiing and we had a great time. Skies some, went to Vail shopping one day.

Yep. The Little Nell and Aspen is tough to beat.
As previously mentioned, bring your big boy checkbook though.

That new lift (it’s been a few years) from the Westin is epic. Such a great spot for apres ski

About 3 years ago my wife and I spent about 5 days at the Fourseasons Resort in Vail. First class all the way. Great restaurants. Tons of outdoor excursions. Great bar. great Spa.

Four Seasons in Vail or Fairmont in Jackson Hole

Beaver Creek, Aspen, or Vail.
Beaver Creek has less crowds but also less to do compared to Aspen or Vail. You can rule out any kind of festive atmosphere at BC. If you don't care about that, then I'd say Beaver Creek. Otherwise, probably Aspen
