Would be stupid on his part. He makes just as much money as he would in NFL. Michigan is clearly patient with his averageness. I don't see why he would leave. He will be right back in a couple of years and probably will not be in a position to land a gig like Michigan again.

Maybe leave his alma mater on a high note. Best season in ages, beat storied rival they just couldnt seem to beat for awhile. Leave when the ship is upright and he isnt fired which seemed to be where he was headed before this season.

Hell, the way they've twiddled their thumbs while he underachieved, winning the Big 10 this year probably bought him at least five more years

Really??
He is a top coach.
Much like a Kelly, he sees the writing on wall that constraints are real and that SEC Teams will keep dominating until real change/reform made in college football

Harbaugh is a better NFL coach. The changes in college football don’t match his personality. He can win a super bowl much easier than a national title at Michigan.

College football, particularly, recruiting is changing with NIL basically being sanctioned pay to play and all of the players having the opportunity to leave your program anytime they want. Perhaps, after 5 seasons in college football he may feel the future pain in the arse may not be worth it. Thus, he'll use his best season at Michigan as a spring board to possibly get back into the NFL.

I would imagine coaches who have coached at both levels would say the least enjoyably aspect of the college job is recruiting. 40, 50, 60 year old multi-millionaires groveling at the feet of narcissistic, entitled, 17,18, 19 year old kids. At least in the NFL roster management and player acquisition is much more controlled. And you also don't have to spend 365 days recruiting IN ADDITION to coaching.

+1 I'd be ecstatic if he goes to the Raiders

Harbaugh did this exact same thing two years ago after getting housed by OSU yet again.

You suddenly started hearing the "Harbaugh up for multiple NFL jobs" rumors, which were obvious plants coming from his side.

Damn, SEC made Riley quit and is now making Harbaugh think about quitting.

He went to 3 straight NFC championships in his first 3 years in the NFL. He's a better NFL coach than college. It's simple facts. Some guys are better cut to be NFL guys. He'd never survive with the way NCAA is going. He sees writing on the wall.

Didn’t Feldman also hear that first in line for the LSU job was Mark Stoops?

What reform? Change the population distribution and demographics of the Rust Belt as compared to the South???
