hopefully we get some alignment with the new head coach. Would the o line have been better with rosenthal? Of course. As long as we are fighting Bama with An archaic marijuana policy, it is an uphill battle for sure. losing future nfl players for weed when no one else in the conference does is not ideal. Don’t forget the weed policy undoubtedly cost us a game the year before too with Stingley missing the state game.

I do not get the compliance department. Is it run by Alabama? Do not see other teams losing players to week like LSU.

No. They would still suck.

The loss to UCLA really did Orgeron in. That game was a disaster. I've rarely seen an LSU team less prepared for a football game - especially an opening game than that travesty.

The team was completely uninspired, lazy, no fundamentals. And, it was obvious that LSU was better than UCLA physically and talent wise. It was so clearly coaching. Add that to the Auburn loss and there you go.

With Brennan and just a little bit better coaching and not so many players quitting on the team once the wheels fell off, this team goes 10-2 in the regular season and Orgeron keeps his job. It was all right there for us to grab. Not a championship season, but a good season. But, the meltdown happened and O absolutely deserved to be fired for it.

The only big hit he took in 2020 knocked him out for the year. He would have taken A LOT more this year.

Not a stretch to think he’d at least miss some time.

I think it could have played out that way for sure. My point is that, as bad as it was, Brennan's injury insured that the worst head coach in college football was going to get fired. The longer that worthless individual stayed, the worse it would have been for LSU.

No. Coach Kelly is the coach. Why cause Brennan is completely healed and coach Kelly is the coach and Orgeron is recruiting hottest on the beach no longer in football mode as of right now. But the real question is since Kelly is the coach who do you go after in recruits and you need to add coaches to your staff to lock down good recruits.

That is plausible, but not sure that it was likely.

I recall in 2018 hearing he had some back issues but nothing major.

As is the Rants favorite thing to do and imagine Brennan as a Heisman candidate since he got hurt, my guess is we'd have had a very similar season.

The problem wasn't just QB.

If he doesn’t get injured Pat last year then year

We likely go 7-3 with Myles last year and probably 8-4 with him this year. We for sure beat Arkansas and we probably beat Bama

No!!!! Zero was a disaster.

Joe Burrow and multiple other first round picks made this guy look like a great coach. He is the 10-26 coach Ole Miss had.

I admit Max didn't play particularly well this year, but he wasn't the entire problem, or even a majority of the problem. I doubt Brennan would've made a difference.

But Max didnt help the problem either. One of Max's strengths was supposed to be adding a bit more mobility. Even though there were a couple times his legs helped convert 3rd downs, he's no Lamar Jackson. Max was much worse than Myles at staying in the pocket too long causing game defining sacks.

With our running game finally going due to the health and cohesion on the offensive line, I fully expect us to be significantly better with Myles. He knows when to get rid of the ball and gives us a much better deep ball threat.

An ill-considered guess.

Nope.. it had more to do with off the field antics than on the field ..he was gone no matter what his record would have been.. alot was swept under the rug…that’s why he just took his 17 mil and left without a word..it was more take it and leave or else…

Wow

You guys are so delusional. You think this team was so bad based on one player. QB was like the number 5 or 6 concern on this team, and I hate to break it to you but Brennan wasn't going to beat out Max Johnson for the starting job.
