Contrary to public belief, Mike Denbrock was only Kelly's OC at Notre Dame one year...

...and that was in 2014.
Everett Golson was the quarterback. He ended up leaving for Florida State the next year, and it turned out he really wasn't all that great a QB.
But in 2014, Golson was legit.
256 completions in 427 attempts, a 60.0 completion percentage. 3445 yards, which is 8.1 yards per attempt. 29 touchdowns to 14 interceptions. A 143.6 passer rating.
Golson also ran for 283 yards and eight touchdowns.
That year Notre Dame scored 32.8 points a game. They passed for 285.5 yards a game and ran for 159.5. They averaged 444.9 yards of total offense a game.
Tarean Folston was the tailback. He led them with 889 yards rushing.
And Will Fuller was the go-to receiver. They featured the hell out of him. 76 catches for 1094 yards and 15 touchdowns.
After that year, Denbrock became associate head coach and a new guy was brought in to be the offensive coordinator. That went south and Denbrock signed on at Cincinnati as the offensive coordinator.
Cincinnati's offense has been a machine for the last four years. They've been well over 400 yards a game every year and they've scored 37.5 and 39.3 points a game the last two years.
I don't know why anybody would complain about him if he's the hire.

Does he have a Joe Brady offense

This is a little misleading as denbrock was still the play caller and left when they were taking his play calling away.

Denbrock is a trusted friend.

Burrow chose us over Cincy, was Denbrock there then.

ND beat LSU in Dec 2014 in the Music City Bowl 31-28 thanks to that BS call where they screwed LSU out of that goal line TD.
M. Zaire was playing QB primarily. He ran for just under 100 yds.

Bc there are posters who were loyal to Orgeron and they’re gonna find fault in everything Kelly does bc their boy got fired.
They’ll bitch about anything Kelly does.

Did a bit more digging into Denbrock...
While he was the offensive coordinator only one year, he was still the play caller. That blows my mind really. Notre Dame hired Mike Sanford as the OC/QB Coach, but in reality it seems the OC part was title only.
"Mike Denbrock was the one who called the plays during Sanford's two year run there, but he was heavily involved in the game plan."
Sanford then went on to head coach at WKU, then back as OC at Utah State... then Co-OC at Minnesota (I think he's now OC at Colorado). You'd have to dig into Sanford's history at ND to get the scoop that he didn't call plays.
It's also reported that Denbrock left for Cincinnati because his play calling duties had been diminished in his final year at ND.
