I can not figure out what the difference is between these Blackstone models sold by Walmart.
36" Blackstone for $297
36" Blackstone for $599
Maybe I am just an idiot

In this instance, the “get-what-you-pay-for” advice should not apply.

walmart's website is kinda like amazon. They allow other people to sell through it. The cheaper of those is sold by walmart, the other is sold by Smart Star LLC which sets their own price.
everything I see seems to be the exact same though.

I use Fakespot on my browser and the one for $550 has a "Seller Caution" in red. It's being sold by "Smart Star LLC". Get the one for $297 as it has way more reviews and is sold by Wal Mart.

A $302 grease trap on the right hand side?

The expensive one has the grease trap on the RIGHT side!
The cheap one also appears to have handles.
I have that $297 model... I'd go with that.

The one with trap on the side is the old model(I have this one), The other has trap center rear, which is newer model.

just bought that $297 model about 3 months ago. frickin love it. That grease trap on the right side of the more expensive one seems like a terrible idea

The right sided grease trap is the inferior version. It makes a huge mess. The rear facing grease trap is the better option hands down. It just so happens to be the cheaper model for reasons stated above.

first one has the rear grease drain

Rear grease trap is way better and the newer version.

The more expensive is the old model which is probably harder to get meaning higher price. $300 is the normal price and the grease system is honestly better on the new one in the back.
