What are we telling recruits about OC/DC?

I would think it has to be extremely hard to recruit someone without naming the OC/DC.
Are we telling them we have someone already hired? Are they saying we have no idea?
If someone is hired and you tell a couple of recruits you know it will be leaked. So far no one has said anything credible that has made it back to the board. I was really hoping they would name someone before this huge recruiting weekend. If not it’s gonna be a tough sell.

seriously though, it is one of 3 things:
1. We've hired _____________, we're just not announcing in publiclly yet.
2. I'm the head coach, and here's the kind of guy I will be hiring by late Jan and here's the system my OC/DC will run.
3. We're talking to A, B, and C. I want A because of _____, I want B because of ______, etc.
* No requirement any of the above actually be true... it is recruiting after all. Just don't get caught lying.

It is a little worrisome but I think Kelly could very well have his guys already. Right now we're all walking by faith, idk how well that's going to work with the recruits.

Hey, it’s a new world with recruiting. A lot of kids commit with one foot out the door. I think CBK will be emphasizing a different criteria. I think he will challenge them to be accountable for their own success. For now emphasizing S&C as foundational for development. It’s what we have.

I believe they’ll talk scheme and type of offense/defense they will run and say just looking for the right guy to run it. Not much else you can say or so at this point.

News flash, these kids don’t know and not worried about who the coordinators are. They just need to know what kinda offense and defense they will be in. As long as you answer them questions correctly you will be in a good position to get the kids u want

If recruits are concerned about the coordinators, then you're recruiting future transfer portal problems.

CBK is discussing the OC/DC positions with the recruits today. I’d imagine we get some kind of update by this evening

Elko leaving Texas 8&4 is really gonna help us on ESD. With all the major coaching changes this year, I think a lot more kids this year will wait until Jan/Feb to decide.

Not near as hard as recruiting a QB when you run the Les Miles Offense
