College sports has turned into an utter farce and is no longer even related to being a student athlete anymore. Why keep up this charade.

Shut down basketball, football, baseball and softball college teams and go back to Olympic sports as the only college athletics.

NFL, NBA, MLB etc can pay for their own minor leagues and keep kids out of college that have no business being there. For the players that really want to go to college, they can earn it on an academic scholarship, grant, or loans.

Just stop with the farce that this is in any way supposed to be about getting them an education.

I said this awhile ago as well. Like soccer clubs in Europe do with younger players… sign them young and develop them. Let them play in minor league games until they are ready.

I’m perfectly fine with the NFL having a minor league system to get the best athletes and college going back to more of what it used to be.

Nfl needs their own minor leagues for sure
Basketball already has g league
Baseball already has minor leaguers and are improving those conditions

Football is what needs an overhaul and nfl is getting a free training ground

They really are killing the golden goose. Kids were getting paid before, but we didn’t see it and we were okay with that. Now coaches are making insane amounts, schools are building crazy facilities, kids are getting paid and going into free agency through the portal, and you’re either in the playoffs or opt out of bowls which have been rendered meaningless.

This is the problem. The NFL isn’t shelling out money to create something that they are getting for “free”.

The reality is, while CFB is doing the NFL’s player development task, the NFL is essentially funneling elite kids through the NCAA by requiring three years removed from college and focusing scouting and draft eval on college kids. So the NCAA gets to showcase elite talent for a few years that would have gone another route to the NFL if one were available.

In short, everyone who has the power to change the system is currently benefiting from the system. So the system isn’t going to change.

I like the old way. If you transfer, you have to sit out a year. Now, rosters turnover so much that you don’t recognize half the players, especially in basketball.

Faggies want to wait a few years so maybe they buy a championship in a major sport for first time in 100 years. I completely agree with you BTW. Travesty
