He’s 64. Hes not subjecting himself to coaching at LSU.

Don't they have a younger wr coach/passing game coordinator who is basically the "Joe brady" of that offense?

ETA: It's Brennan Marion but don't know the full dynamic there

Maybe we'll bring him on as an analyst.

He can help our OC if he's a really young guy.

Not sure how much he was making at Pitt, but Scott Frost apparently told him he'd double it

Would be a terrible hire! You can flush all of the joy from the day down the toilet, if this guy is named OC.

Whipple interviewed with Scott Frost on Sunday. He made less than $500K at Pitt this past season. Frost told him he'd double it. Hard for Whipple to say no at this point in his career. He's in a no-lose situation. Gets a huge final payday, and if Frost does get fired, he can retire.

I don't know why this is getting upvoted. I don't know if you all have recency bias or just don't watch a lot of college football, but this would be a very below-average hire.

Good chance he's going to Nebraska, read an article saying they were in talks.

I am not saying that I want the guy at LSU but pissing on him is plain ignorant. Whipple just finished a season where his offense averaged per game 43 points and 502 yards.

Wikipedia contributors seem to think Nebraska is hiring him.
