What kind of **** is that?!

Every time I’ve read or listened to him answer that question, it’s pissed me off.

That always feels part of the deal when you steal someone’s coach. Kelly was the reason ND was relevant and highly ranked. He’s gone now. They have a super talented class coming next year (5th).

BRING US SOME OF THAT TALENT COACH

Sounds good in theory but what happens when he tries to go after these Notre Dame commits and they stay at Notre Dame because most of the staff was retained?

In the meantime we lose some of our own current and possible commits in the area because his focus is elsewhere. Kelly has the right idea with taking care of the backyard first and then branching out.

He came here because lsu recruits better talent. Notre dame recruits matches their ceiling on the field

They have. Stop 5 ranked team because they have a full class committed where everyone else has half a class. Not sting there isn’t 1 or 2 or 3 kids we’d take but calm down. The talent level across the board isn’t the same. Also I doubt it’s as easy as you think. Both their dc now hc and oc are staying. And so is most of the staff.

What makes you think he won’t go after some of the ND recruits he likes or thinks he has a chance to sway? Because he said he wasn’t focused on them right now? Coaches say they aren’t leaving a program all the time until they leave

For what it’s worth, I think he handled that question as well as you possibly could

I wish he would do the Riley approach. It's working out for Riley

Here’s an idea op… let the coach do the coaching and you go back to bed.

Kelly recruited this potential class while being paid by ND, and recruiting costs such as travel, hotels, meals, etc were on the ND tab. It would be highly unethical to now use that basis to recruit for another school. If a ND recruit were to contact LSU/Kelly on their own nickel to inquire about coming South, that might pass the smell test but the optics would have to be dealt with.

If it pisses you off then tell us what recruits ND has committed that would be interested in LSU. Have you looked at their class? Their highest rated recruit doesn’t even list LSU among a list of about 40 schools. Several kids from places we’d likely have no shot at getting. They have a Texas RB committed ranked behind Moss, Citizen and Etienne.

Plus of all the schools in the country, these kids are committing to Notre Dame and not the coach.

His first priority is probably putting a staff together this week. Then try and pry an OL or 3 from somewhere. Also the type of players committed to ND that we would want are are 4.0 gpa blue collar working corn fed OL. Not the type to decommit and leave on a moments notice for a HC unlike a flashy narcissistic skills player that Riley would bring with him.

What if he thinks they are quite up to SEC quality? Ever think of that, genius?

If a kid called him and wanted in, he is not going to turn them down

But he is not going to make the first move on the kid.
