I don't know that there has ever been an era where TV ads were good, but it does seem like in today's world they are all just inordinately fricking terrible.
This SoFi money dance commercial makes me irrationally ticked off. The song fricking blows for starters, then you've got the weird arse ginger chick doing some awful dancing that just looks corny as frick.

I was watching VH1 last night as they showed Shrek. Now this is an animated movie that is sure to attract a large amount of kids. It was wall to wall stacked with commercials about Trans, Gays, AIDS meds, etc. The intention seemed obvious:
