I don't know who did what but the last 4 games were night and day to the point that defense was probably close to tops in the country stat wise. Scoring defense was much improved as well. Last 4 games this D allowed 308,283,311,& 296 yds and thrre of those teams were ranked...
So someone needs to explain how this staff and roster of 3rd stringers pulled that off. It was not just playing on opportunity and emotion. We completely flip flopped the pressure tendencies and took a lot more risks on secondary coverage. Everyone on the D looked like different players.

Well It is because it was different players. How many guys started the seasons as starters ended the season as starters? 2 or 3?

Yea I’d definitely think O was holding the defense back. Would have loved to see this pressure type D with Stingly and Ricks at corner. That rush 4 and drop 7 def every down reeks of O.
