We brought him in early (before conf championship games), so he should have a little more time to meet our guys and implement his plans.

He'll likely need a year or two to get rolling, but looking at the schedule for next season I could easily see us going 10-2 +/- a championship appearance. Only scary games look like TAMU at Kyle field and Ole miss, but we get them at home. Bama has looked beatable (we nearly did it this season) AND we get them at home. I'd say we're a lock for a top tier non-NY6 bowl, maybe a NY6 if you're optimistic. How do you think next postseason will play out?

Historically we are near exponentially better against Bama on the road.

It’s entirely too early to tell. We’ll have to see who the OC and DC are. Who stays on the team. Who leaves the team. How we finish in recruiting. How aggressive we are in the transfer portal. A lot of stuff to unfold still.

I shouldn't even say it.

But with the right pickups in the transfer portal and a few impact freshmen...

This is close to what I think as well.

I just want to see who he hires to be the OC/DC.

Looking forward to it.

I think a lot of people unfortunately only see the portal for a way for players to leave LSU, not transfer in. With all the coaches openings, there should be a larger crop of players to work from and bring in if needed.

I’ll never understand why. It blows my mind.

This. Not one single person on this board picked UCLA to beat LSU the first game of the year and look at what happened.

I think we lose in Jordan Hare and Bama. Ole Miss depends on QB, they’ve got a good team returning if they find a QB. I think Tennessee is a win. We’ve still got a lot of talent, it’s just about filling some holes and deciding on a QB for next year. We’re not short on potential in that room, Johnson had good moments he just needs serious help with mechanics. Nuss has cannon, but he wasn’t ready yet and the preparation around him didn’t help. Howard will be a Star here, just don’t think he’ll be ready yet. And Brennan has a opportunity to come back as well if Kelly thinks he’s the best option.

I don't know. I surely am not taking them lightly. Harsin has fired three more coaches within the last few days, which tells me that he knows the expectations.

It's kind of along the same lines as LSU. Who does he hire?

I always thought Bobo was a pretty good OC but he really has slipped since he left UGA.

At the same time, Kelly knows the expectations at LSU too and he has a better track record of getting who he wants.

It'll be interesting to see but I don't see it going like it has the last two seasons vs Auburn.

Ole Miss roster from this season is upper-classmen laden and will largely be gutted next year. Recruiting is currently near the bottom of the SEC.

They are highly unlikely to field a good a team as they had this season.
