Actually this is one of the biggest lies told by Trump and his supporters.
Trump endorsed DeSantis because DeSantis supported him during the Russia stuff in Congress and he was running against a NeverTrumper. Still the polls in the primary didn't really shift until the debates and in the General the Trump endorsement actually hurt DeSantis in '18 when Trump was not very popular.
Did the Trump endorsement help DeSantis? Sure, but this blood loyalty thing for life you guys are expecting is just fricking weird and super Culty.

Actually DeSantis saying the same thing without paraphrasing Nick Fuentes was a lot more impressive.

I'm not sure if Trump helped DeSantis or not. There was an anti-Trump maniac, drug addict, loser running for the Dems and was harvesting every drop of Trump hatred he could for that campaign. It was very close, even though DeSantis ran a better campaign, had a better platform, and was better in every way. We are damn lucky, as a state, and as a nation, that Gillum did not win Florida. The thought of him running FL during covid is horrifying. He would have destroyed the state.

Yup. Trump only endorsed Desantis because Adam Putnam originally backed Jeb Bush then Rubio in 2016 and was trashing Trump on the campaign trail.
No matter how Ron won he’s actually kept his promises and exceeded expectations unlike the former President.

Anyone who has taken the stones and arrows falsely thrown at him, as Trump did, has my vote. Any other politician would have crumbled or caved to the pressure.
The man is saying things we all are thinking, but he does it his own way which turns the “not presidential” crew off.
It’s sad because DeSantis had possibly the easiest path to the Presidency in ‘28. He just needed to back Trump and not alienate his base, which is far greater than anyone truly understands. Now, due to the people guiding him, he may never become president.
It could have been possibly the best 12 years of the Republican party and been a train wreck for the dems. Oh what could have been.
