They’re not worried about his cognitive abilities; they’re worried about his electability. Otherwise, they actually prefer a turnip occupying the chair and signing off as he is told on far left idiocy.

Very true, and it applies to any Dem Candidate that openly promotes the insane and suicidal Progressive policies. I think their strategy is to wait until the last minute and throw in someone who won't have time to be vetted and whip the 'herd' into a voting stampede with the OMG 'Dictator Trump' narrative. With Cornell West being highly problematic they will have to put some serious Black in their ticket and it will cost tens of millions to dump the cackling Kamala.
And with Israel hammering Hamas/Islamists for the next year, it will get very ugly for the Dems. Those 'Donors' and Dem strategist should be worried.
